Welcome to the Miracle League of Lake Placid, FL!
On Saturday, April 5th, 2008, the Kiwanis Club of Lake Placid is sponsoring a BBQ. The event will at the Lake June Ballfields and proceeds will benefit the Miracle League of Lake Placid. Tell all your friends and families to support the League. The time of the event is TBA.
Reminders April 5th: Kiwanis Club of Lake Placid BBQ April 11th: All Athletes and families are invited to a SFCC baseball game at 5:30pm. The game is being held at SFCC Field in Avon Park. Please contact John (863.441.1586) to RSVP April 19th: Baseball Clinic is being held at the Lake June Ballfields, from 9am to 11am. Bring your gloves!
The last crack of the bat on Saturday, Dec 15, 2008 signaled the end of the Fall Miracle League of Lake Placid season. With over 60 athletes for this inaugural season, a dream that started less than one year ago came to fruition. Three age divisions made up the league, with the Mariners, Cubs, Rays, Yankees, Marlins, and Braves representing the teams. Athletes from 6 Florida counties came each weekend to play baseball. More importantly, they came away with new friends and the sense of being part of a team.
The Miracle League of Lake Placid Board of Directors would like to thank all of the people who supported this endeavor. Sponsors, buddies, parents, care givers, coaches, and our Fans in the Stands played a huge part in the success of the League. This support will hopefully continue as we grow into the future.
